Participant Liability Release, Medical Disclaimer, Media Consent & Event Terms
Please read carefully before registering or participating.
By registering for and/or participating in any event, workshop, retreat, livestream, meditation, or related activity hosted or facilitated by The Stargate Experience, its founders, presenters, facilitators, volunteers, affiliates, and partners (collectively, the “Organizers”), I acknowledge and agree to the following:
- Voluntary Participation & Assumption of Risk
I understand that participation may include activities such as meditation, breath awareness, energy work, movement, group processes, travel, and other experiential practices. I acknowledge that these activities may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to physical, emotional, or psychological discomfort.
I affirm that my participation is voluntary, and I assume full responsibility for my physical, mental, and emotional well-being before, during, and after the event.
- Medical & Healing Disclaimer
I understand and acknowledge that the Organizers do not claim to diagnose, treat, heal, cure, or prevent any medical or psychological condition.
All experiences offered are intended for educational, spiritual, and personal exploration purposes only and are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, psychiatric, or therapeutic care.
Any experiences, insights, or outcomes are personal and subjective, and results are not guaranteed.
- Personal Responsibility for Health
I confirm that I am responsible for consulting with a qualified healthcare professional regarding my participation if I have any medical, psychological, or emotional conditions that may be affected by these activities.
I agree to participate at my own discretion and to modify or stop participation if I experience discomfort or distress.
- Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless the Organizers from any and all claims, liabilities, demands actions, or causes of action , of whatever kind of nature, either in law or in equity, arising out of or related to my participation, including but not limited to injury, illness, emotional distress, loss, or damage, whether occurring during or after the event.
- Livestreaming, Photography, Audio & Video Recording Consent
I understand that events may be livestreamed, recorded, photographed, or audio-recorded, and that participants may appear in video, audio, or images.
I grant permission for my image, voice, likeness, and participation to be used in livestreams, replays, educational materials, archives, and promotional content, without compensation or time limitation.
If I do not wish to appear on camera, I understand it is my responsibility to turn off my camera, adjust my name display, or step out of camera range when applicable.
- Presenter Availability & Event Changes
I understand that live events depend on the availability of specific presenters, facilitators, or collaborators.
In the unlikely event that a scheduled presenter is unable to attend due to illness, travel disruption, force majeure, or other unforeseen circumstances, the Organizers reserve the right to modify schedules, substitute presenters, or adjust the event format (including livestream, replay, or rescheduled content).
Such changes do not constitute grounds for a refund, except where explicitly stated in the cancellation policy listed on the checkout page.
- Force Majeure
The Organizers shall not be held liable for delays, modifications, or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of nature, weather events, government restrictions, travel disruptions, illness, or technical failures.
- Cancellation & Refund Policy
I acknowledge that all cancellation, refund, and transfer policies are clearly stated on the event checkout or registration page at the time of purchase.
By registering, I agree to the specific cancellation policy associated with that event.
- Personal Belongings Disclaimer
I understand that I am solely responsible for my personal belongings during the event, retreat, or related activities.
The Organizers are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property.
- Code of Conduct
I agree to participate respectfully and understand that the Organizers reserve the right to remove any participant whose behavior is disruptive, unsafe, or not aligned with the spirit of the event, without refund.
- Age Confirmation
By registering, I confirm that I am at least 18 years of age, or that I am the legal guardian providing consent on behalf of a minor.
- Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Organizers are registered.
- Amendments and Continuing Effect
I acknowledge and agree that this Release, Disclaimer, and Waiver of Liability may be amended, modified, supplemented, or updated by the Organizers from time to time, in their sole discretion. Any such amendment shall be effective immediately upon adoption and shall apply to all participation, activities, services, or use occurring thereafter, without any requirement that the Organizers notify me of such amendment. Continued participation in, or involvement with, the relevant activities or services following any amendment shall constitute my continuing acceptance of the Release as amended, whether or not I have reviewed or am aware of the specific changes.
- Agreement & Acknowledgment
By registering for this event (including by checking an acceptance box during checkout or completing a waiver confirmation form), I confirm that:
- I have read and understood this agreement
- I voluntarily agree to all terms
- My agreement is legally binding and equivalent to a signed document
